Welcome to the Campus High School Theater Program website! Campus High School is a proud member of the International Thespian Society and the Kansas Thespian Organization.
Campus provides its students with many opportunities to get involved with the performing arts. Our theater program has a full curriculum of classes including Theatre I, Theatre II, Advanced Theatre and Stagecraft classes. We produce 7-8 shows each year: two all-school shows, two Advanced Theatre productions, two Theatre II traveling shows and a night of one acts. We also host the Mane Stage Maniacs Improv Team. If you are a current student or incoming student, we encourage you to get involved. If you are a community member, we encourage you to attend our shows and support the arts at CHS! As of June 30, 2017, I will retire from USD 261. It has been a great six years and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Campus students. The new director, is actually a returning director. Dorathea Kelly was the theatre teacher at Campus from 1991 - 1994. Recently she has been teaching English, Forensics, Debate and Theatre at Wellington, Kansas. I hope she finds as much enjoyment and fulfillment at Campus as I have.
